Marina AstithaMarina Astitha

Civil and Environmental Engineering Department

Research Interests: Marina Astitha leads the Atmospheric Modeling and Air Quality Group (AirMG) at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of Connecticut. The AirMG website provides information about scientific research and educational news related to atmospheric sciences with a focus on atmospheric modeling systems. Marina Astitha’s interests include aerosol-cloud-radiation interactions in regional and global scale, anthropogenic influences to extreme weather events, cloud microphysics and precipitation uncertainties, and improving/developing physical processes in atmospheric and air quality models.

 Christine Kirchhoff

Civil and Environmental Engineering Department

Research Website: Kirchhoff Lab Group

Research Interests:   Dr. Kirchhoff’s lab studies how water, climate and society intersect across four broad areas:

1) Water governance, management and policy
2) Science-policy interactions and decision support
3) Adaptation to climate variability and change
4) Sustainable/resilient infrastructure
